WANT TO START
YOUR OWN ONLINE BUSINESS?

Dropshipping is a great way to become a location independent entrepreneur allowing you to work from any location as long as there’s dependable wi-fi.

Before I decided to move to Thailand, I wanted to set up my online business to make sure I had a source of income to fund my travel lifestyle.  During my research, I learned about drop shipping and how to start an online business with little start-up cost.

If you’re interested in learning more ways to make an income online, check out my blog post here!

WHAT IS DROP SHIPPING?

Drop-shipping is a retail fulfillment method where a store doesn’t keep the products it sells in stock. Instead, when a store sells a product, it purchases the item from a third-party and has it shipped directly to the customer. As a result, the merchant never sees or handles the product.

Still confused about what dropshipping is exactly? Here is an infographic to help you understand if you haven’t heard of it before:

The way it works is simple. Find a dropshipper (usually a manufacturer or supplier) who has a list of items they keep in stock. Get the catalog of items available. Pick the best items, then make listings for them on Shopify with new, higher prices (best of all, it is FREE to list; you only pay fees when someone buys an item from you). Once you receive an order, you contact the dropshipper and give them your customer’s details. The dropshipper will then send the order to the customer directly.

As you can see, there is practically no investment required. Shopify offers a free 14-Day trial and after you can select from their monthly membership plans starting at $29.99 a month.

The only thing you need to do is find the right items and the right suppliers to grow your drop shipping business.

The key is to launch quickly and start thinking of ways to generate sales. This will eventually give you the opportunity to improve at other things.
